Dear Forder Families,

I am excited for the opportunity to serve as principal of Forder Elementary.  I look forward to building relationships with the Forder students and families, as well as experience the traditions and culture that are so important in our community.

My educational journey begins here in the Mehlville School District. As a student I attended Forder, Buerkle, and Mehlville High School. Returning to Forder, a place of such fond memories and pride, warms my heart. I received my Bachelors in Education at the University of Missouri-Columbia and began my teaching career at Blades Elementary in third grade. While teaching at Blades, I earned my Masters in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University. My administration career began in 2013 as Assistant Principal at Trautwein Elementary and Buerkle Middle School where I served for two years. In December of 2014, I completed my Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Maryville University. In 2015, I then transitioned into my current position as Assistant Principal at Trautwein and Point Elementary.

All of my beliefs as a leader are based on decisions made on what is best for kids.  Today’s education goes beyond academics and must foster our children’s character.  Building positive relationships is the key to success and happiness. I believe that working together will always lead to a greater result than working alone. I look forward to working with the Forder families to learn and grow together.
